Having fun with the local kids at Nassau..

Waiting in line for our visa appointment... it was a long day at the consulat, but well worth the experience of the Bahamas..

An unusual name for a restaurant...

Town of Nassau.. we always enjoy riding the local bus when we are in a new place to get the local feel..

Nassau is where the cruise ships dock to fill up with supplies and check out the area... it was especially full of tourists due to spring break.

'Pro krasu se musi trpet' which translates to 'for beauty you have to suffer'...

Alby took some pics of Mia while I had a massage...at Compass Point Hotel...where we also had many meals.

Check this guy out! The local Bahamians love being adorned in enormous gold jewellery...

The Bridge connecting two islands so that the zillions of tourists have access to the massive resorts on the other side!

Mia and Emka really enjoyed the glass bottom boat...

Stunning Sunset..

Connect Four at dinner, great idea for kids!

On our way to Pristine Cat Island...
Look at these boarding passes, full of personal detail!

Ready to board the very small 19 seater plane.. felt a tad nervous!

Arrived at Sammy T's... straight for the beach!

Mia tried kayaking with Alby, but he capsized them so she only trusted mum after that!

In nassau Mia discovered the fluoro rings, they were so much fun, and although they make us cringe a little against the pristine backdrop, the brightness and colour look good in a shot against the water! It was definitely lots of fun!

Gardens at Sammy T's...

Our little poser!

Hours of relaxation..

Spent many hours playing pool...and winning of course..Alby did Ok..

Mia is not choking Emka, but simply trying to tickle under her chin to make her burst out with laughter..

We met a couple at Sammy T's, it was their third time here.. we could understand why. The day before we left we had a chat to them on the beach about snorkelling at the north end of the beach and it turned out that they had purchased a property on the waters edge, and are in the process of getting premits for building. The Bahamians are very laid back so therefore it is taking a very long time but they are getting there. So this is the block...

It stretches all the way to the low rock wall in front of the tree and this is the view! Amazing!

Back to the airport of Arthurs' Town and another long wait, the plane was delayed 3 hours! Felt a little MORE nervous after hearing stories of a few people on their way to Cat Island having experienced one engine cutting out and being diverted to another island where an emergency crew were awaiting their landing. One of the men several years ago had the horrific experience of both engines cutting out! OMG!
